heute passiert etwas Wichtiges: Der Support fĂĽr Windows 10 endet! (Siehe: https://endof10.org/)

Aber viele von uns stellen gerade die Einreichung für das Bundesministerium fertig – und wir auch – also Daumen drücken für den Endspurt.

Wir blicken aber auch schon auf die nächste Woche: Das erste Sourdough mit dem Festival der Regionen/Katharina Spanlang steht bevor, ebenso eine #ENDOF10-Cloud-Clinic, um gemeinsam auf Linux umzusteigen! Zudem erhaltet ihr eine Einladung zu einer außerordentlichen Generalversammlung am 28.10.

Sourdough #1: How to Cultural Infrastructuring with Katharina Spanlang und dem Festival der Regionen
Ort: servus.at Clubraum. c/o Stadtwerkstatt, Kirchengasse 4, 4040 Linz

 

Von der zyklischen und transformativen Natur von Sauerteig inspiriert, organisiert servus.at zusammen mit Tomiris Dmitrievskikh eine Reihe von Workshops mit Künstler:innen und Kollektiven, die auf partizipative, gemeinschaftliche und „regenerative” Praktiken spezialisiert sind.

Der erste Termin findet mit Katharina Spanlang, Mitglied des Vorstands des Festivals der Regionen (https://fdr.at), statt. In dem Workshop wird die Praxis des FdR als Chartographie von Praktiken der Kooperation, der Gemeinschaftspflege und des Aufbaus kultureller Infrastrukturen erforscht.

#endof10, Cloud Clinic und Abandon-Windows-Party mit Gästen
Ort: Stadtwerkstatt, Kirchengasse 4, 4040 Linz

Microsoft stellt heute den Support für Windows 10 ein. Das heißt, dass sie die Version 10 des Betriebssystems nicht mehr reparieren und man am besten auf die Version 11 wechseln sollte, wofür man wahrscheinlich einen neuen Computer kaufen muss. Aber was wäre, wenn du deinen aktuellen Computer wieder schnell und sicher machen könntest?

Eine gute Gelegenheit, sich Linux wieder einmal anzuschauen! (Probier es aus, es ist seit ~10 Jahren wirklich gut nutzbar!)

Im Laufe des Jahres hat servus.at festgestellt, dass wir mehr Menschen im Vorstand haben möchten. Daher müssen wir die Statuten neu abstimmen. Wir laden daher zu einer außerordentlichen Generalversammlung am 28.10.2025 ein.

Something important is happening today: Support for Windows 10 ends! (See: https://endof10.org/)

Many of us are currently finishing up our submissions for the Federal Ministry—and so are we—so keep your fingers crossed for the final sprint.

But we are also looking ahead to next week: The first Sourdough with the Festival der Regionen/Katharina Spanlang is coming up, as well as an #ENDOF10 Cloud Clinic to help us all switch to Linux! Here you also receive an invitation to an extraordinary general meeting on October 28., 6pm.

Sourdough #1: How to Cultural Infrastructuring mit Katharina Spanlang and the Festival der Regionen
Location: servus.at Clubraum. c/o Stadtwerkstatt, Kirchengasse 4, 4040 Linz

Inspired by the cyclical and transformative nature of sourdough, servus.at is organizing a series of workshops with artists and collectives specializing in participatory, collaborative, and “regenerative” practices, in collaboration with Tomiris Dmitrievskikh.

The first event will feature Katharina Spanlang, member of the board of the Festival of Regions (https://fdr.at/). The workshop will explore the practice of the FdR as a cartography of practices of cooperation, community building, and the development of cultural infrastructures.

Microsoft is discontinuing support for Windows 10 today. This means that they will no longer repair version 10 of the operating system and that they want you to to switch to version 11, which will probably require buying a new computer. But what if you could make your current computer fast and secure again?

This is a good opportunity to take another look at Linux! (Try it out, it has been really usable for already ~10 years!)
