⊨ Research Lab 2025: Fluidic Cookbook
Under the title Fluidic Cookbook, the Research Lab 2025 kicks off this month with an exploration of fluidic systems, a research initiated and developed by artist Ioana Vreme Moser, and accompanied by curator Diane Pricop. The artistic research investigates an alternative, obsolete technology named fluidics that was developed in parallel with electronics for computation and was later abandoned because it couldn’t operate as fast as its mineral counterpart. The inquiry opens as an imaginative and speculative exercise in which computers become fluid.
The residency will be accompanied by two public events:

This month’s Loop meeting (the third wednesday of the month, each month!) will host the Presentation of the Fluidic Cookbook by the artist Ioana Vremer Moser and the curator Diane Pricop. For more Info: check above!

⊨ Permacomputing Residency: Chaline Bang
Chaline Bang will have a short residency in servus.at from 23.04. to 30.04. as part of the Culture Moves Europe Mobility project funded by the Goethe-Institut. During her stay, Chaline will explore the practice of permacomputing and how reappropriate smartphone device with PostmarketOS.
::What: bring the device you want to liberate from android. Check first if your device is supported : https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Devices. We don't guarantee success, but we will try it together!

⊨ Research Lab 2025: Fluidic Cookbook
Unter dem Titel Fluidic Cookbook beginnt das Research Lab 2025 in diesem Monat mit einer Erkundung fluidischer Systeme, initiiert und entwickelt von der Künstlerin Ioana Vreme Moser und begleitet von der Kuratorin Diane Pricop. Die künstlerische Untersuchung beschäftigt sich mit einer alternativen, veralteten Technologie namens Fluidik, die parallel zur Elektronik für Komputation entwickelt und dann aufgegeben wurde, weil sie nicht so schnell arbeiten konnte wie ihr mineralisches Gegenstück (u.a. Silicium). Die Untersuchung beginnt mit einer phantasievollen und spekulativen Experiment, bei der Computer flüssig werden.
Die Residency wird von zwei öffentlichen Veranstaltungen begleitet:
*Das Open Lab ist eine Workshop-Session, um zur Entwicklung des Berechnungssystems im Fluidic Cookbook beizutragen. Um effektiv Teilnahme, besuche bitte die Präsentation am 16.4 und melde dich an: office@servus.at

⊨ Permacomputing Residency: Chaline Bang
Die Künstlerin Chaline Bang wird vom 23.04. bis 30.04. im Rahmen des vom Goethe-Institut geförderten Culture Moves Europe Mobility Projektes eine kurze Residency bei servus.at machen. Während ihres Aufenthalts wird Chaline die Praxis des Permacomputing und die Wiederaneignung von Smartphones mit PostmarketOS untersuchen.
